Zeolite: a mineral that pulls out toxins?

It can bind lead in the gut at the moment of exposure. That is not a detox.

Touchstone Essentials sells zeolite, a mineral with a cage-like structure that can trap charged particles, and cites “more than 300 published studies”. Short answer: those are papers on zeolites in general. The one trial we found in people used a purified zeolite taken together with a tiny dose of lead, and less of that lead reached the blood. It did not test removing toxins already in the body, and it was not Touchstone’s product.
