Hydrogen water: an antioxidant you can drink?

Tested against placebo: not for the oxidative stress of exercise.

Drink HRW’s ad is about something fair — that many hydrogen products are never tested for how much hydrogen they release. The bigger question is whether the hydrogen does anything. Short answer: a 2024 review pooling six small placebo-controlled studies found hydrogen raised a measure of antioxidant capacity, but did not lower the oxidative stress exercise causes.
