Bromelain for a blocked nose

Old, small trials; none of this product.

Clarity MD sells 500 mg of bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple stems, with 250 mg of quercetin, for noses that are blocked every morning. Short answer: a 2006 review pooled two trials in which bromelain, added to usual treatment for acute sinusitis, eased some symptoms, and called the evidence encouraging but limited. We found no trial of bromelain with quercetin for sinuses, or of Clarity MD.
